Based in Houston Texas, Atmos Power Systems (APS) is a provider of low cost electric power (Distributed Generation) plants, for peak shaving, shoulder and interruptible load applications. Typically APS power plants (1 to 500 megawatts) can provide power at half the cost of existing electric rates during high demand periods. This is accomplished by utilizing APS's high efficiency, automatic start/stop, load following and fully maintained STANDARDIZED POWER PLANT DESIGN.

APS power plants provide the vehicle to elect interruptible rates and/or reduce electric cost during peak shaving and shoulder load operations. Historically, power provided during peak and shoulder load operations has always been the most expensive. At the outset of deregulation it was thought higher cost electricity during peak periods would be alleviated due to competition. It is now known that deregulation will not solve this problem. An APS on-site Distributed Generation power plant can provide the solution. APS offers 5, 10 or 15 year contracts (Leases) which allows the customer to build an equity position in the generation during the term of the contract.
