Atmos Power Systems installed (turn-key) and leased this 20MW power plant to Bolivar Electric Department in Bolivar, TN. The plant allows the city of Bolivar to provide power back into the grid during peak periods and is available for the city during unscheduled outages. The plant can provide power within five minutes of starting up.

Power is generated at 4,160 volts and is transformed to 46,000 volts before connecting into the Hickory Valley Substation. Construction of the power plant was completed in 14 weeks.

Details: 11 Diesel engine driven generators environmentally permitted to operate 300 hours per year.
